Capturing all the little details of your precious baby so you can remember their sweet features forever. My approach to newborn photography is simple and meaningful. I use minimal props with beautiful fabrics, colors, and textures to showcase your baby. Newborn sessions are completely reliant on how sleepy your baby is during our time together. I want baby super sleepy during our time together so we can get all those snuggly poses. I'll prep you with all the tips and tricks to arrive to your session so we can get the best images possible. I currently book newborn sessions two months in advance, however, if you are seeing this and need last minute newborn photos please text me at 661-333-9549 and I can do my very best to squeeze you in!
Funny story... I was one of those photographers who said I would never do newborn photography - never say never! My journey to becoming a mom was anything but easy... My son was unexpectedly born at just 24 weeks gestation. Our 112 day NICU stay was filled with me excitedly taking his photos every week to distract me and celebrate another week passing in the NICU as he grew stronger and stronger to come home. My appreciation for photographing babies exploded during this time. My empathy, reverence, and understanding of birth stories has led me to photograph newborns with respect, care, and so much love and patience. I remember *most* of those months after my son was born like it was yesterday but to be honest, I'm so so glad I have photos of him that take me right back to those first few weeks of his life. All this to say, I would love to photograph your baby, hear your birth story, and celebrate this time in your family's lives!

First, check my booking site for a date within a week after your due date. Its best to plan to photograph baby when they are 3-10 days old. Since babies decide to arrive when they want to arrive, we book a date then you keep me informed on if baby arrived early, stays in the NICU, or you went past your due date - and we adjust! My newborn sessions are in the mornings during the week.
Prior to approaching your due date we will chat about your preferred colors (and colors you don't like!) for the session. Any special requests you may have and anything else you want me to know about your family prior to arrival.
The day of the session you're going to be exhausted from those first few days of newborn bliss - just get baby to me and I'll do the rest! You can come as you are and sit and enjoy watching your snuggly baby get their photos taken for the first time!

Investment
All collections include the edited digital images on an online gallery for you to keep, download, and print at the lab of your choice. I remove duplicates and edit the rest! You can anticipate 30+ images from our time together during the shortest session I offer. Typically, as long as baby stays sleepy, the amount of images go up the longer our time together.
